Thinking, acting and talking like scientists
Our caterpillars multiplied rapidly and Room two discovered we had a very real problem, Too many caterpillars and not enough food for them.
Wearing our scientists hats we looked and then asked questions and came up with several solutions to our problem.
Room two decided that we need to have a swan plant garden that will have enough leaves to feed all the caterpillars and then everyone in the school will also be able to discover the wonders of the life cycle of the butterfly.

Crisis situation !!
When we discovered that we had too many ( 8 caterpillars) we adopted out caterpillars to good homes who had healthy swan plants , we have been carefully looking after our swan plant and chrysalis but today one of the remaining three caterpillars chewed through the branch the chrysalis was hanging on and we found the chrysalis in our sink, we are hoping with only a few days till it hatches the butterfly will be well and will wait until Monday when we get back to school to emerge and we will all get to meet him/ her. We have put our last three caterpillars on the swan plant at the back of our classroom so that they will have plenty of food.Nearly caught in the act |

Healthy lunches
Thank you mum and dad for the healthy lunches that we bring to school. We are also enjoying the fruit and milk that we get at Rosebank school
Room Two's Journey 2014
This term we are learning about the journey of a caterpillar as it transforms into a butterfly. We have watched our caterpillar eat all our swan plant leaves. It got fatter and fatter and then on Wednesday 19th we came into class and found our caterpillar had disappeared into its chrysalis.
